About Us
Since our inaugural concert in 2006, the Enlightenment Music Series has been dedicated to bringing audiences the finest performances of chamber music repertoire, dating as far back as the Renaissance and continuing through the centuries to the finest works of our time. The series presents free concerts for listeners ranging from connoisseurs to chamber music newcomers of all ages, providing listeners a comprehensive perspective on the art of chamber music. The performing artists of Enlightenment Music Series are multi-generational expert chamber musicians, principal members of major orchestras, renown soloists and Hollywood’s finest recording artists.
For the past 15 years, we have given numerous concerts at different performance venues as well as in various schools, nursing homes, churches and hospitals. We’ve helped other organizations such as Red Cross, Japan Earthquake Relief, American Liver Foundation, City of Hope and other organizations with their fundraising.
The Enlightenment Music Series has been awarded a certificate of recognition by the California State Assembly and County of Los Angeles Supervisor’s Board for the outstanding work in bringing cultural events to the community. In 2012 our organization was granted a non-profit 501(c)3 status.
Starting our 12thconcert season, the series has made its new home in Burbank. We are the first, and so far the only Chamber Music Series consisting of professional musicians in this neighborhood and we always look forward to performing fine live classical music concerts for all audiences.
